WHO IS TRINITY RIO?
Trinity Rio™ is an up and coming Tex-Mex Honky Tonk'n Band straight out of Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas! Their passion for the Texas Music Scene can be heard in their covers and original music with influences that include a wide range of iconic Country, Tejano, Conjunto and Ranchero music icons.
Trinity Rio™ features an awesome trio of voices with Sergio "SERGE" Palacios on Guitar, Israel "BIG-TEX" Saavedra on the Guitarron (Mexican Bass), Felipe "FILLUP" Diaz on Fiddle & Guitar with Omar Mireles on Drums. They perform regularly at the Oak Cliff Brewery in Dallas as well as Hugo's Cinco de Mayo and The Texas Ice House near the Fort Worth, Stockyards.
As former mariachi musicians who performed together out of Fort Worth for several years, the guys have shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the mariachi music genre. During these years it was evident that the guys were not only great musicians but they also discovered that they were each also passionate about country & tejano music. In 2023 they would get a chance to try something they'ed always dreamed and started a country band with a Tex-Mex flare. They named their band TRINITY RIO to represent thier Dallas and Fort Worth Heritage.
In November of 2023 the guys partnered with The Friends of Oak Cliff Cultural Center and the Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs to bring Trinity Rio to the LOTERIA NIGHTS hosted by the Oak Cliff Brewing Co. In January of 2024 Omar Mireles, another former mariachi mate, joined the guys as a drummer. They continue to write original music as well as arrange new versions of iconic cover songs to hopefully win the hearts of their fans.
